12/27/2023 0 Comments Tik tik boom![]() Tick, tick.BOOM! was originally presented as a "rock monologue" entitled Boho Days and performed by composer/lyricist, Jonathan Larson, as an autobiographical look at his dream of leaving his mark on the musical theater landscape. Jon's fears begin to affect everyone around him, including his girlfriend, Susan, and his best friend, Michael and he is forced to face all of his fears, and the complications of his relationships, head-on as the of the clock gets closer and closer to what he believes is the end of his career. Jon is also just days away from turning 30 in 1990, and his fears of failure are mounting as he begins to reconsider if working in the arts is where he's meant to be. In this semi-autobiographic rock musical, we are introduced to Jon, who is a composer working on his new musical, Superbia, which has a workshop in a few days.
